Several reasons to be 'good' news... A friend of ease-one decided to help out with a patch and GrudgeMatch. He has fixed a number of pittance bugs (including the too-many heads thing) as well as taken a pretty good step to completing GrudgeMatch. Damage skins tend to work better, and Razorjack damage was tweaked DOWN sharply. This is the Same Guy (spider) that has Damn Near(tm) completed Half-Life HeadHunters complete with bot support. It's a far cry from Quake HH (any version) but is quite the pace breaker with all the realism mods for HL. Time frame on the release of either is unknown atm. Given the history of how things have progressed in the past I'd just as soon not speculate. If you'd like to test either brand then drop me an email

Juz was too busy to patch HH, and I can't program, so the end result is that it is 90% likely that the copy of HH3 that you have right now is the only release that there will ever be. No patch, no Grudge Match. I've beat my head against the unforgiving wall of 'programmer need' too much over the last yearish, and i'm done with it. So unless someone is into offering their services, we're stuck with the too many heads crash bug and several other annoyances. It probably also means that this is the last post you'll see here. There's no more reason to say anything here. It's the end of an era. Sorry guys, but that's the way it goes.

just so everyone knows, we're looking at and trying to narrow the "too many heads" thing, which appears to be client side. We're also aware of the not saving SP progress, and the problem with the rapture model. There have also been a couple of other things reported, all of which have been pak related. Therefore, the next patch may be upwards of a few meg, but not prohibitively big. I think sometime early next week will do the deal. On another note I've started a thread on webboard for servers. If you're going to up a server, put it in that thread. I'll monitor the servers that go down and remove them so that its resonably accurate. _________ To everyone that's sent emails saying "NICE JOB!" they are all highly appreciated. I haven't taken the time to reply, and for that i apologize. Please know that they are all very welcome and I thank you for playin. It makes it all worthwhile.

64.3.181.78:27970 Running DM Maps for the moment... Get thee on!
•• I TOLD YOU TODAY WAS THE DAY!! (=
After 3 loongass years of crying, toiling, and some playing (= it's finally out. Hit the Files page to get what you need to play. If you find a bug or something, email me or jump into irc (use the contact page) and i'll do my best to get it squashed. Finally, i would like to openly thank RR2D02 for making the port from 1.17 to the Q3TA codebase (as well as other stuff), Hentai for being there in spirit, and [Goose] for the early compiles of all the content. Then, without a doubt, there's ease, who sped the process along by taking a pretty hefty divvy of the tedium, and the there's Juz without whom, I'm sure, this wouldn't have happened at all. Juz is king rock. To everyone that pestered me "dammit when is it gonna be released?!" i say thanks for your patience and anticipation, and for giving hh3 some extra value. Besides all those ppl, the blue ribbon for emotional support and generally being there goes to Str8Dog (who did up a preview) and to Rorshach who some would say "hasn't done much lately" which is fine cuz he did about 3 years work in the 2 that he stuck it out d= They're both my pals and they both rule.
